Buy or rent logo mats? What suits each kind of business
Logo mats can be bought outright or rented with an exchange and laundry service. Both models work, but they don’t suit the same business. This guide helps you decide using your own figures.
How each option works
Rental with a service. The rental company owns the mats. It installs them, collects them at set intervals, launders them and leaves clean ones in their place. You pay a regular fee for as long as the contract lasts.
Buying. The mat is yours from day one. You pay once and decide how and when it’s cleaned: on your premises, by your cleaning contractor or at an industrial laundry.
Quick comparison
| Rental with a service | Buying | |
|---|---|---|
| Ownership | The supplier’s | Yours |
| Payment | Regular fee for as long as the contract lasts | One-off |
| Cleaning | Included, on a fixed schedule | Up to you, whenever you need it |
| Design | Limited to the supplier’s range and formats | Any size and any brand colour |
| Commitment | Contract with a minimum term | None |
| Rebranding | Subject to the contract | Whenever you like, with a new mat |
When renting makes sense
- The entrance gets very dirty and the mat needs changing often.
- You have nobody to wash it and no space to keep a spare.
- You have lots of sites and want one supplier to manage them all on the same schedule.
When buying makes sense
- Image comes first. You want your exact brand colour, a specific size or a special shape.
- Temporary use. Trade shows, events, campaigns, racing seasons: signing a contract makes no sense.
- Small quantities. One reception, one shop or one pit box. We make from a single mat, with no minimum order.
- You can wash it yourself. Our models wash at 40 °C, and the A8 Prime Exclusive at 60 °C.
How to compare the real cost
Always compare the same period, for example three years:
- Rental: fee × number of exchanges over three years. Ask what happens if you want to change the design or end the contract early.
- Buying: the price of the mats (including a spare if you’re going to rotate them) + what it costs you to wash them over those three years.
- Divide each total by 36 and you have the monthly cost of each option.
With the quote in hand, the decision is usually clear. We’ll prepare your purchase quote within 24 hours.
Frequently asked questions
Can a logo mat you’ve bought be washed?
Yes. The A3, A5 and A6 models wash at 40 °C and the A8 Prime Exclusive can be washed at 60 °C. Chromojet printing goes into the fibre, so the logo doesn’t peel off with washing.
Can I buy just one mat?
Yes. We have no minimum order: we make anything from a single unit to large production runs for chains, with special rates for volume.
Can I have my exact brand colour?
Yes. Chromojet printing can reproduce your brand’s Pantone colours, and before manufacturing we send you a digital proof to approve.
